EYC Summer Schedule (2023)
Our regular youth group schedule wraps up with Baccalaureate on 5/14 and the Parish Luau on 5/21. We resume our Sunday evening EYC dinner/program schedule in September. However, we don’t take a complete break for the summer. Below are three youth events/opportunities that will take place this summer.
The first is Vacation Bible School (June 19-23, from 9.00 am - Noon). Middle and High School teenagers are needed to help with our VBS week. Teen volunteers serve as crew leaders for the elementary school age groups, game coordinators, and/or lead the music and Bible lesson program pieces. In addition, we also need teen volunteers to help as the photographer and social media staff for the week. Volunteers should sign up through the main VBS page by the t-shirt deadline (June 10). For details speak with Kristen Weems or Father Tripp.
Senior Send Off (July 30). One of our traditions is to gather all middle and high school youth (including the rising 6th graders) to have a cookout and special send-off for recent high school graduates as they prepare to head off to college. Stay tuned for full details, but mark your calendar for Sunday, July 30. We’ll gather in the late afternoon for a cookout, fun, and then a special program focusing on the new adventure ahead for those starting college in August/September. We will have full details posted here after VBS week concludes. Contact Jason Startt or Father Tripp with any questions.
Diocesan Tubing Trip (Macon, GA): August 19. Mid-August, we’ll join youth groups from around our diocese for the annual Diocesan Tubing Trip in Macon Georgia. This event is coordinated by the Diocese, so sign up is through them. Click Here for information and to sign up.
